Itinerary- 16 days
Day
1 Delhi :
Arrive in Delhi and transfer to the
hotel for overnight stay.
Day
2 Delhi :
After breakfast, take a full day sightseeing
tour of Old and New Delhi. Visit the
Red Fort comprising exquisite palaces
reflecting Mughal architecture and
the largest mosque in India, the Jama
Masjid. Walk through the colorful
and bustling Chandni Chowk bazaars.
Visit Raj Ghat, a memorial for Mahatma
Gandhi, Humayun’s Tomb, one
of the city’s finest historic
sites as well as the Qutub Minar,
a soaring tower of Victory dating
back to 1199. Drive past Rashtrapati
Bhavan, the residence of the President
of India Gate, among other landmarks.
Stay overnight at thew hotel.

3 Delhi – Mandawa: 257 kms/155
miles ¦ 7-8 hrs by Road :
After breakfast, drive to Mandawa
in the heart of the Shekawati region.
On arrival in Mandawa, check into
the hotel. Take a sightseeing tour
and visit the village with colorful
frescoed havelis (mansions), temples
and charming little shops. Stay overnight
at the hotel.

4 Mandawa-Bikaner:170 kms/102 miles:
4-5hrs by road :
After breakfast, drive to Bikaner,
a desert town surrounded by a high
wall, which was once an important
staging post on the great caravan
routes. On arrival in Bikaner,check
into the hotel. Enjoy rest of the
day at leisure. Stay overnight at
the hotel.
Day 5 Bikaner
:
After breakfast, take a sightseeing
tour and visit the lavishly decorated
palace complex within the Junagarh
Fort comprising the Diwani-i-Khas,
Phool Mahal, Anup Mahal and Badal
Mahal. Also visit the Sri Sadul Museum
on the first floor of Lalgarh Palace
built in pink sandstone with fine
exhibits and old photographs reflecting
the lifestyle of the maharajas of
a bygone era. Stay overnight at the
hotel.
Day 6 Bikaner – Jaisalmer:

road: After breakfast, drive to
Jaisalmer,
check into the hotel. Enjoy rest of
the day at leisure. Stay overnight

7 Jaisalmer :
After breakfast, take a sightseeing
tour and visit the 800-year-old sandstone
Fort that dominates the entire town
with its presence atop the Trikuta
Hill. The Fort enclose a number of
exquisitely carved havelis of merchants.
Also visit the Jain temples dating
back to the 12th and 15th centuries,
the town’s main market and assorted
havelis including the most renowned
Patwon-ki-Haveli. Later, proceed to
Sam Sand Dunes and enjoy a camel ride
upto Sunset Point. Stay overnight
at the hotel.

8 Jaisalmer – Jodhpur: 287 kms/173
kms¦ 7-8 hrs by road :
After breakfast, drive to Jodhpur.
En route visit the 14th century Pokharan
Fort with its treasures of rare weapons,
paintings, traditional costumes and
headgear. On arrival in Jodhpur, check
into the hotel for overnight stay.

9 Jodhpur :
After breakfast, take a sightseeing
tour and visit the Meherangarh Fort
built during the 15th and 16th centuries.
Within the Fort are some magnificent
palaces with superb collections of
palanquins, elephant hawdahs (seats
used by the royality during procession),
miniature paintings, musical instruments,
costumes and furniture. Stop by at
the Jaswant Thada, which harbors royal
cenotaphs built in white marble. Also
visit the colorful local market around
the popular landmark, the Clock Tower.

10 Jodhpur – Udaipur: 260 kms/156
miles¦ 5-6 hrs by road :
After breakfast, drive to Udaipur.
En route visit the Jain temples at
Ranakpur where intricate carvings
detail mythological figures, patterns
and motifs on the walls, pillars and
domes. On arrival in Udaipur, check
into the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 11 Udaipur
:
After breakfast, take half-day sightseeing
tour and visit the City Palace where
the royal family still occupies a
part but the main portion is now a
museum, which house a lavish collection
of artifacts intricate miniature paintings
and sculptures. Take a stroll around
Sahelion-ki-Bari, a beautiful garden
with fountains. Admire the Jagdish
Temple in the heart of the city dedicated
to Lord Jagannath. Stay overnight
at the hotel.
Day 12 Udaipur – Jaipur
:
After
breakfast, transfer to the airport
for a flight to Jaipur. On arrival
in Jaipur, check into the hotel. Take
a sight seeing tour and visit the
Hawa Mahal from where the palace women
would discreetly observe the activities
of the bustling bazaar below. Also
visit the City Palace Museum with
its collection of elaborate costumes,
magnificent armory an intricate carved
weapons and the Jantar Mantar Observatiory
nearby built in 1782. Stay overnight
at the hotel.

13 Jaipur :
After breakfast take a sightseeing
tour and visit Amber Fort with an
elephant rid up the Fort’s ramparts.
The Fort originally built in the 16th
century by Maharaja Man Singh encloses
superb palaces and a beautiful temple
in marble dedicated to the fearsome
goddess Kali. Enjoy rest of the day
a leisure. Stay overnight at the hotel.

14 Jaipur – Agra. 249 kms/150
miles ¦ 4-5 hrs by road :
After breakfast, drive to Agra. En
route visit the imperial ‘ghost
city’ of Fatehpur Sikri constructed
of sandstone and built by Emperor
Akber. Within it, lies the tomb of
the great Sufi saint Salim Chisti.
It house the Panch Mahal and the Bulanda
Darwaza, two of the many excellent
representations of Mughal architecture.
On arrival in Agra, check into the
hotel. At sunset, visit the Taj Mahal
built by Emperor Shah Jehan as a shrine
for his wife Mumtaz Mahal. The Taj
Mahal is considered to be the ultimate
symbol of love with its majestic marble
domes and elegant minarets. Stay overnight
at the hotel.
Day
15 Agra :
At sunrise, visit the Taj Mahal for
a spectacular view of the magnificent
monument. Return to the hotel for
breakfast. Thereafter, take a sightseeing
tour and visit the Agra Fort built
by Emperor Akbar in 1565. Made of
red sandstone, this structure reflects
fine Mughal architecture with ornate
interiors in the Jahangir Mahal, Khas
Mahal, Sheesh Mahal and Deewan-e-Am.
Also visit the marble tomb of Itmad-ud-Daulah
built by Empress Noor Jehan for her
father. Stay overnight at the hotel.

16 Agra – Delhi: 205 kms/123
miles ¦ 3-4 hrs by road :
After breakfast, enjoy the morning
at leisure. In the afternoon, drive
to Delhi. En route at Sikandra, the
tomb of Emperor Akbar. On arrival
in Delhi, proceed for onward travel.
